Compassionate at Home Euthanasia for Dogs & Cats in Cornwall

Lady and her dog on the sofa with a home visit vet

Gentle, Compassionate Home Visit

Dr Nicola Carrier is a home visit vet who is able to provide a compassionate, dignified and peaceful pet euthanasia at home. The home visit removes the stress of travelling to the vets, waiting in a crowded waiting room and your pet becoming distressed. When Nicola comes to your home, it will not be rushed. She will get to know your pet and yourselves. After documentation has been completed, Nicola will give your pet an injection of sedation. This will mean they peacefully fall asleep and will not feel pain. Once they are sedated, the final injection is given. The home visit can take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. You will then have time to spend with your beloved pet afterwards.

In an emergency

Please note we are not an emergency service.

If you have an emergency or it is out of hours, you should contact your own  veterinary practice that your pet is registered with. They will be familiar with you and your pet and be able to provide the emergency treatment as needed.

If you require a same day euthanasia, Nicola may be able to help with this depending on the availability of her diary.

Please note:

We do not do direct claims with pet insurance companies. Nicola is more than happy to fill in your insurance form with you to help you claim the money back. Please note that not all insurance companies will pay the visit or cremation fee for the pet euthanasia at home. It is policy dependent.

Nicola is a CAETA Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian
Nicola has completed the Compassion Understood training
Nicola is a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care
